The Austrian Academy of Sciences \/ Vienna Institute of Demography hosted the meeting. The primary aim of the consortium meeting was to provide a progress overview regarding achievements in the project over the past three years and to strengthen contacts between researchers and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting started with a stakeholder workshop in which policy implications of the project results were discussed extensively by the participating stakeholders and work package co-leaders. At the plenary the second day, <strong>Professor Frances Goldscheider<\/strong> (Emerita, Brown University, USA and College Park Professor, University of Maryland, USA, member of the FamiliesAndSocieties Advisory Board) provided the keynote address: \u201cFatherhood, the Gender Revolution and the Second Demographic Transition\u201d. Presentations and discussions on three main topics followed: gender and generations; children\u2019s life chances and vulnerability. A transversal workshop concluded the day.<\/p>\n<p>The program also included internal work package discussions.
